SUPER BOWL PICK

RETURN TO NFL 2010 SEASON PREVIEW

Now remember, this disclaimer from pigskin prognosticator Smooth Jimmy Apollo…

"Well, when you're right 52% of the time, you're wrong 48% of the time."

After careful analysis (by which I mean I put the NFC teams in one hat and the AFC teams in another and draw one from each hat), here is my Super Bowl pick…

WILD CARD (January 8-9, 2011)

(3) Dallas over (6) Atlanta

(5) Minnesota over (4) San Francisco

(3) Indianapolis over (6) Pittsburgh

(5) New England over (4) Miami

DIVISIONAL (January 15-16, 2011)

(1) Green Bay over (5) Minnesota

(2) New Orleans over (3) Dallas

(1) Baltimore over (5) New England

(2) San Diego over (3) Indianapolis

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY (January 23, 2011)

(1) Green Bay over (2) New Orleans

(2) San Diego over (1) Baltimore

SUPER BOWL XLV (February 6, 2011

In case you didn't know, the game is going to be played in Arlington, TX at Jerry World The Death Star Cowboys Stadium.

The Super Bowl will come down between the Green Bay Packers and the San Diego Chargers. I think the Chargers are due for a Super Bowl appearance with this group of players.

In the NFC, there are three other teams besides Green Bay that could make that trip to Dallas in February: New Orleans, Minnesota, and of course, Dallas. I think the Packers over the last few seasons have turned themselves into a contender and can go toe-to-toe with any team in the NFC.

So… the winner of Super Bowl XLV will be….

The Vince Lombardi trophy will be making a trip to the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field for a victory party.

The Packers will win their first post-season game in Dallas since January 1, 1967 by hoisting their 13th NFL Championship.
