Tuesday night, comedian expert television pundit and truthiness pursuer Stephen
Colbert interviewed Redefining Realness
author Janet Mock.
Ms.
Mock earned her bachelor's degree in fashion merchandizing from the University
of Hawai'i at Mānoa and followed up with earning her master's in journalism from
New York University and worked . Ms. Mock made her status as transwoman known
in a 2011 Marie

Janet
Mock has brought transgender issues to the forefront in her use of social media
by using the Twitter hashtag #GirlsLikeUs and teaming up with Orange Is The New Black actress Laverne
Cox to better present these issues to the general public. Ms. Mock was named
one of the 15 most powerful gay
celebrities of 2012 and made the
inaugural Trans 100 last year. Among one of those added to that list was this person.
Colbert
