Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) of Arizona on the floor of the U.S. Senate on Friday:


The statement from his office as reported by CNN:

'his remark was not intended to be a factual statement, but rather to illustrate that Planned Parenthood, a organization that receives millions of dollars in taxpayer funding, does subsidize abortions.'"


A remark not intended to be a factual statement is called a… LIE!

Shocked by Senator Kyl’s statement?

Not really.

He had this to say about maternity care during the health care bill debate back in 2009 and it ends with a clever retort from Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI):
