While watching the returns for the Florida GOP Primary last night, I happened to see this interview between Rick Tyler,
leader of the Pro-Gingrich Super PAC Winning Our Future, and the MSNBC
political panel consisting of Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton, and Lawrence O’Donnell.
After the interview, the panel
joined by Ed Schultz and Steve Schmidt, who was the Senior Strategist for
Senator McCain’s 2008 Presidential Campaign, discussed more about the racially
charged messages coming from Newt Gingrich.
In short, Rick Tyler’s comments
were downright offensive.
Instead of having a hired mouthpiece
speak for him, maybe Newt Gingrich should respond directly to what he has said.
I doubt it.
