2012 U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, PARTY NOMINATION ROUND

2012 DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

Due to there being no serious challenge from a candidate within the Democratic Party, Barack Obama’s nomination as that party’s candidate for president is all but official. With this known, Obama has clinched a first-round bye and will face the Republican Candidate in the General Election to take place on 6 November 2012.

When it comes to the number of delegates, I was using the NY Times tracker. However, after much MORE research and determination, I switched over to a combination between Real Clear Politics, CNN, NY Times, and The Green Papers.

Daily Kos explains why the GOP Delegate count is inconsistent among the different reporting agencies. Of course… THAT explains it.

Super Tuesday results are at this link.
