Who Am I?

My photo

I served in the US Navy from 2002-08; four of those years were as a Nuclear Propulsion Operator aboard an aircraft carrier. I engage in political activism in various Democratic circles when I am able to. I have a cat, and I am an uncle.

All opinions that I express are my own and do not reflect the views of any organization that I represent.

“Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) Repeal Certification has been ratified. On 20 September 2011, DADT will be no more. It will become a stepping stone in our long history toward creating a more perfect union.

At 12:00 AM EDT on 24 July 2011, same-gender couples in New York were granted the right to marry. New York became the sixth state to perform same-gender marriages and currently is the largest state, by population, to do so.

I could start off with my usual banter about how this is a victory for America. Most of you know my feelings about LGBT Rights.

Instead, I am going to choose a more direct route.

This is what progress looks like.
