2013 NFL SEASON WEEK 12

The 1972 Miami Dolphins' perfect season is safe for another season. With the Broncos defeating the Chiefs in Denver last Sunday night, there are now no unbeatens in the NFL.

The Saints defeated the 49ers to keep pace with Seattle for the top seed in the NFC. These two teams meet in Seattle on 2 December. Chicago won a marathon game against the Ravens that saw the game delayed by nearly 2 hours due to severe weather in Illinois. It was an odd-week so the Jets loss. The Texans continue their downward spiral with a loss to the Raiders. Detroit had the most bone-headed play of the season trying for a fake field goal against the Steelers that led to Pittsburgh driving 97 yards for the game winning touchdown and a 10-point victory. Green Bay's quarterbacking woes continue and the Panthers scored a defining victory over New England last Monday night.

Dallas had the bye in Week 11. The Cowboys run to the playoffs starts in New York when they take on the Giants. The Cowboys have a good chance to sweep the Giants for the first time since the 2007 season and also place the Giants' playoff chances in jeopardy. For the Giants, a win puts them in the thick of the NFC East race.

This is the last week of teams having a bye week. The teams with an off week: Bills, Bengals, Eagles, and Seahawks.

Besides the previously mentioned Cowboys at Giants game, the Week 12 slate is a tad better than previous weeks. The Panthers look to continue their winning streak against the Dolphins. The Jets and Ravens clash in Baltimore as both teams keep their playoff chances alive. In Kansas City, the Chiefs look to rebound against the Chargers.

When the Vikings and Packers met in Minneapolis back in Week 8, it looked like Green Bay was one of the top three teams in the NFC. Now they are struggling without Aaron Rodgers.

Colts at Cardinals is a surprisingly good game. If there is a candidate for NFL comeback player of the year, it is Arizona quarterback Carson Palmer.

On Sunday Night, it is the 14th matchup between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Currently Brady holds a 9-4 advantage of these meetings. The winner of this one will give their respective team an advantage in playoff seeding.

Monday Night ends with the 49ers traveling to Washington to take on the  Redskins.

I did a little better in my weekly picks ending 2 games above .500 and tying with Ms. Roberts and Mr. Blake for the week. I trail Mr. Blake by 4 games while Ms. Roberts is in third place.
