THE SIMPSONS vs. FOX NEWS: THE BATTLE CONTINUES

On the November 21, 2010 episode of The Simpsons, the program showed their love toward the Fox Network’s news department.

This is not the first time The Simpsons have taken shots at Fox News or the Fox Network as a whole.

“You know, Fox turned into a hardcore sex channel so gradually, I hardly even noticed.”- Marge Simpson, Lisa’s Wedding

“Yeah, and we can’t watch Fox because they own all those chemical plants in Syria.”- Homer, Lisa vs. Malibu Stacey

“The Fox Network has reached a new low.”- Lisa, watching Up Late With McBane

“Well, I’ve had lots of jobs in my day: whale hunter, seal clubber, President of the Fox Network… and, like most people, yes, I’ve dealt a little ivory.” –The Ivory Dealer, Bart Gets an Elephant

“It’s on a crappy network, but The Simpsons are on TV.”- Homer, Mr. Plow

In the 2003 episode, Mr. Spritz Goes to Washington, Krusty the Clown runs for Congress and participates in a televised debate on of all places… Fox News.

Fox News was not happy with The Simpsons and THREATENED to sue them over the show using their precious little news scroll.

Does that make any sense…?

Fox News suing a Fox Network program….

Anyway here is a delightful observation on the battle between Fox News vs. The Simpsons from 2007 when creator Matt Groening (who formed humans out of his rabbit characters in order to pay off his gambling debts) discussed with Jon Stewart about the trouble the show got into for making fun of Fox News.

Fox News staple Bill O’Reilly was not too pleased with the opening scene of the recent Simpsons episode. He called the show producers “pinheads” for their commentary on Fox News.

Need I remind Mr. O’Reilly and all the other Fox News Parrots that it was The Simpsons that helped solidify and legitimize the Fox Television Network. Had The Simpsons not succeeded, then there would be no Fox Sports (NFL came to Fox in 1994) and definitely no Fox News (established 1996).

Besides, if it wasn’t for The Simpsons, you sir would still be doing Inside Edition

If it ever came down to The Simpsons or Mr. O’Reilly, who do you think Mr. Murdoch is going to side with?
